What is CVE-2026-63770?

The Glance application version 0.8.5 is impacted by an IP address spoofing vulnerability within its authentication handler. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to evade brute-force lockout protections. By manipulating the X-Forwarded-For request header, attackers can present arbitrary values, making multiple login attempts appear to originate from different IP addresses. This circumvention results in the failed-login counter not reaching its threshold, thus permitting unlimited credential guessing attempts on the authentication endpoint.

Affected Version(s)

glance 0 <= 0.8.5

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
