Linux Kernel Vulnerability in Intel IOMMU Driver Affecting SVA Treatments
CVE-2026-64591
What is CVE-2026-64591?
A vulnerability exists in the Linux kernel's Intel IOMMU driver related to the System Virtual Addressing (SVA) unbind process. It specifically occurs when devices lacking PCI/PRI support attempt to manage IOPF functionality. Although the bind path appropriately handles the absence of PRI by skipping IOPF enablement, the unbind path does not reflect this adjustment, leading to unnecessary warnings during the disabling of IOPF for hardware that never had it enabled. The issue is addressed by modifying the unbind path to bypass IOPF operations for SVA domains on non-PRI hardware.
