What is CVE-2026-67281?

RouterOS WebFig is susceptible to an unauthenticated file-read vulnerability located in the /jsproxy path. This underlying flaw allows an attacker to exploit a stale uninitialized principal pointer utilized for file authorization. By strategically preparing the allocator, an unauthorized actor can leverage this vulnerability to dereference the pointer with elevated rights. Consequently, they can manipulate encrypted URIs to traverse out of the WebFig file namespace, achieving unauthorized access to root-owned files. This includes sensitive configuration stores containing credentials. The issue has been remediated in RouterOS versions 6.49.21, 7.23.4, and 7.24.2.

Affected Version(s)

RouterOS 7.24 < 7.24.2

RouterOS 7.0.0 < 7.23.4

RouterOS 6.0.0 < 6.49.21
