What is CVE-2026-67290?

FreeRDP versions prior to 3.29.0 are susceptible to a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability that occurs within the TSMF FFmpeg decoder. This issue arises when the software processes AVC1 MPEG2VIDEOINFO media types with inadequate ExtraData. By sending specially crafted media format data from a server, malicious actors can trigger a crash. This flaw allows for the reading of fixed offsets without proper validation of the source buffer's length, potentially compromising system stability.
