What is CVE-2026-68426?

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to the handling of Generic Segmentation Offloading (GSO) segments can lead to a use-after-free condition. When segments are stolen by asynchronous cryptographic processes, the associated list head does not update correctly. This oversight risks corrupting data structures, as pointers can still reference freed memory. The issue has been addressed by ensuring that the segment list's pointers are accurately reprised before returning, thus reinforcing the integrity of the memory management during data transfer operations.
