What is CVE-2026-69114?

The Spacebar Server prior to commit 8d126f4 exhibits a vulnerability allowing authenticated users with MANAGE_MESSAGES permission to delete messages across different channels. This flaw arises from the inadequate scoping of message deletion requests, enabling malicious actors to exploit the deletion mechanisms by rerouting their requests through a channel they control. As a result, users can inadvertently or maliciously remove messages from other channels, misusing their permissions and posing a significant risk to message integrity within the platform.

Affected Version(s)

Spacebar Server 0

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
