What is CVE-2026-70491?

Open WebUI is a self-hosted AI platform that inadvertently exposes sensitive information through specific API endpoints. In versions up to 0.10.2, authenticated non-admin users with read-only permissions could access the full source code of Python tools, potentially revealing hard-coded API keys, credentials, and internal service URLs. This vulnerability arises from misconfigured API responses that fail to restrict access to critical data. The issue was addressed in version 0.11.0, which implements stricter access controls to protect sensitive information.
