What is CVE-2026-70494?

An access control vulnerability exists in the Open WebUI from versions 0.10.0 to 0.11.0, where the API endpoint DELETE /api/v1/folders/{id} allows users with write access to shared folders to delete chats and messages belonging to the original folder owner. This misconfiguration permits any user with inherited write privileges to manipulate the folder's contents, including removing the owner's data, if the 'delete_contents' parameter is set to false. This issue has been resolved in version 0.11.0.
