What is CVE-2026-7184?

Mattermost releases prior to specific versions exhibit insufficient sanitization of the Remote Cluster API response during PATCH operations. This vulnerability can be exploited by authenticated users possessing the {{manage_secure_connections}} permission to retrieve remote cluster authentication tokens via crafted PATCH requests to the remote cluster endpoint. The oversight in handling the API response can pose significant security risks, allowing unauthorized access to sensitive authentication data.
