What is CVE-2026-71939?
DrayTek VigorSwitch models are impacted by a buffer overflow vulnerability within the acl_general_setup Add ACE function. This vulnerability arises from the unsafe copying of the name field into a buffer of fixed size without appropriate length checks. A remote attacker with valid administrative credentials can exploit this weakness through specially crafted requests sent to the device's web management interface. Successful exploitation can lead to denial of service or the possibility of executing arbitrary commands, posing significant security risks to affected users.
