What is CVE-2026-71965?
CyberPanel version 2.4.3 has a vulnerability in its remote backup feature, allowing authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary code. By manipulating the SSH key retrieval process, an attacker can supply a malicious remote server address, leading to the unauthorized addition of their SSH public key to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys. This flaw provides persistent root access, enabling the attacker to gain control over the host system.
