What is CVE-2026-72540?

An insecure direct object reference vulnerability in PhotoPrism exposes users to potential privacy risks by allowing unauthorized access to original-resolution album cover photos. Users with a valid preview token are able to retrieve the cover images of any album, as the AlbumCover handler lacks necessary checks to verify user authorization.
