What is CVE-2026-72542?

A missing authorization vulnerability in Windmill Labs' Windmill software version 1.783.0 allows authenticated operators to manipulate job progress and access job metrics for any job within the workspace, irrespective of ownership. This issue arises from the lack of authorization checks in the job_metrics handlers, which undermines workspace-level access controls. As a result, operators can observe sensitive job execution information and potentially inject inaccurate progress data into jobs they do not own.
