What is CVE-2026-72755?

Routinator, a tool for managing RPKI data, is susceptible to a vulnerability that allows it to store a newly downloaded Trust Anchor (TA) certificate via HTTPS in its cache without appropriate validation. This misconfiguration may lead to the overwriting of an existing, valid TA certificate with a potentially invalid one if validation fails. Such behavior raises significant security concerns, as it undermines the integrity of the certificate management process and could lead to improper routing decisions.
