What is CVE-2026-72767?

A remote code execution flaw exists in n8n Git node, affecting versions prior to 1.123.67 and 2.x versions before 2.31.5, as well as 2.32.x before 2.32.1. Authenticated users with permissions to create workflows can craft a local repository that triggers Git to execute hooks, running arbitrary commands with the same privileges as the n8n process user. This security loophole jeopardizes both self-hosted and cloud instances of n8n.
