What is CVE-2026-72828?

The Grav Plugin API prior to version 1.0.13 contains a significant vulnerability in its InvitationsController. This flaw occurs because the system fails to enforce appropriate scope checks on API keys. Specifically, when using a least-privilege API key scoped to 'api.users.write', a super account can create invitation records that inadvertently grant super-admin access flags. Upon accepting the invitation, the new account gains elevated privileges, effectively becoming a super account. This could lead to unauthorized access and control over the Grav environment, making it imperative for users to update to the latest version to mitigate this risk.
