What is CVE-2026-72838?

FileBrowser versions prior to 2.63.19 have a vulnerability that allows authenticated users to bypass upload size restrictions set in the TUS resumable-upload PATCH endpoint. This can lead to the ability to write excessive data to the disk, potentially exhausting disk space and resulting in service disruptions. Attackers can exploit this flaw by sending oversized request bodies that exceed the established upload length, thereby causing instability and unavailability of the service.
