What is CVE-2026-72901?
Dokploy, a self-hostable Platform as a Service (PaaS), is vulnerable to arbitrary command execution due to improper handling of the volumeName field within its backup functionality. An authenticated low-privilege user can exploit this vulnerability by passing unchecked input to the 'volumeBackup.create' and 'volumeBackup.runManually' methods, leading to commands being executed with host/root privileges through the Docker socket. This vulnerability was addressed in version 0.29.13, requiring all users to upgrade to secure their installations.
