What is CVE-2026-73211?

PeerTube, an ActivityPub-federated video streaming platform, was found to have a serious SQL injection vulnerability prior to version 8.1.6. The issue arises from the ActorFollowModel.updateScore() function, which improperly interpolates an attacker-controlled ActivityPub actor inboxUrl into an SQL query. This critical flaw allows unauthenticated remote servers to interact with the PeerTube database, compromising sensitive information such as oAuthToken.accessToken and potentially gaining control over administrator accounts. Users are strongly advised to update to version 8.1.6 or later to mitigate this risk.
