What is CVE-2026-74036?

Wazuh versions 4.3.0 up to but not including 4.14.8 are impacted by a remote code execution vulnerability. This issue arises because the SCA policy trust is incorrectly determined based on the file path instead of the configuration source, allowing attackers who have control over a manager to write unsigned policy files to the var/incoming directory via the upgrade channel. These malicious files can then be referenced to execute command checks with root privileges on the agents, potentially compromising system integrity.

Affected Version(s)

wazuh-agent 4.3.0 < 4.14.8

wazuh-agent 4.14.8
