What is CVE-2026-74041?

A vulnerability in Wazuh, specifically in versions prior to 4.14.8, introduces a case-sensitivity mismatch between the ossec.conf validator and the wazuh-logcollector. This flaw allows authenticated users with specific permissions to bypass critical remote-command validations. By injecting an uppercase LOG_FORMAT command, the malicious user can execute commands that the log collector processes with root privileges upon reload, potentially compromising the system's integrity.
