What is CVE-2026-74234?

Legora, prior to the release on August 14, 2026, is vulnerable to a cross-site scripting issue that can lead to arbitrary JavaScript execution in a user's browser. This vulnerability arises when an attacker influences content using a Mermaid diagram that incorporates a gray-matter JavaScript directive. As a result, the front-matter parser may execute eval() without proper SVG sanitization, allowing malicious code to run. The consequences of this flaw are amplified on platforms like Word and Outlook add-ins where sensitive session tokens are stored in local storage, heightening the risk of unauthorized access.
