What is CVE-2026-74423?

A memory leak has been identified in the AMD acceleration module of the Linux kernel. When the function pin_user_pages_fast() attempts to pin user buffer pages, it may not release resources correctly if it cannot pin all requested pages. This behavior could lead to memory not being freed, consuming resources unnecessarily and potentially impacting system performance. The vulnerability is resolved by ensuring that any pages that are partially pinned are unpinned before returning an error, thus maintaining system integrity and optimizing memory management.
