What is CVE-2026-74798?

The SiYuan Kernel prior to v3.7.4 is susceptible to a path traversal vulnerability due to inadequate validation of the 'id' parameter in the database_clean MCP tool. This flaw allows an authenticated MCP client to inject path traversal sequences, causing the kernel to read arbitrary files accessible to the process and subsequently delete them. Although mitigations were implemented in the HTTP API handlers, the MCP context remains vulnerable, emphasizing the need for immediate remediation strategies.
