What is CVE-2026-75128?

The Langchain-Chatchat software, up to version 0.3.1.3, exposes a vulnerable API endpoint (/tools/call) that allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary operating system commands without authentication. This flaw stems from the capability of the endpoint to invoke any registered tool by name, thereby permitting unrestricted access to the always-active shell tool. Attackers leveraging this vulnerability can send a crafted request to execute commands as the server user, potentially gaining root access in instances where the product is deployed using the provided Docker image.

Affected Version(s)

Langchain-Chatchat 0 <= 0.3.1.3

Exploit Proof of Concept (PoC)

PoC code is written by security researchers to demonstrate the vulnerability can be exploited. PoC code is also a key component for weaponization which could lead to ransomware.
