What is CVE-2026-75601?

The Static Web Server, particularly in version 2.43.0, is susceptible to an improper authentication flaw. When both basic authentication and metrics features are enabled, the server processes requests to the /metrics endpoint before implementing the basic-auth check. This loophole allows an unauthorized remote attacker to access sensitive Prometheus metrics, potentially revealing vital information such as virtual host names, request volumes, error rates, latency distributions, and active connections. The issue has been rectified in version 2.44.0.
