What is CVE-2026-7583?

A vulnerability has been identified in Open5GS up to version 2.7.7 that affects the BSF component. Specifically, the flaw lies in the function bsf_sess_find_by_ipv6prefix within the file /src/bsf/context.c. This vulnerability can be exploited remotely by manipulating the ipv6Prefix argument, leading to potential denial of service. An exploit for this vulnerability has been publicly shared, and despite the Open5GS project being notified of the issue early, there has yet to be a response from their team.
