What is CVE-2026-75916?

SiYuan, up to version 3.7.3, contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability within the block-reference autocomplete hint popup. The vulnerability arises from the improper concatenation of user-controlled data into the HTML output of the hint popup without adequate escaping. This allows an attacker to insert malicious scripts into the block's metadata, which can execute when a victim interacts with the autocomplete functionality. Since the application runs its Electron windows with node integration and without context isolation, the vulnerability can escalate to arbitrary operating system command execution, posing significant security risks to users.
