What is CVE-2026-76214?

phpMyFAQ versions prior to 4.1.7 are vulnerable to a WebAuthn replay attack. The vulnerability arises because the system does not properly persist the WebAuthn login challenge generated during the login preparation phase. As a result, if an attacker captures a legitimate WebAuthn assertion, they can replay it without any additional user interaction or hardware key verification. This flaw poses significant security risks, enabling unauthorized access to user accounts.
