What is CVE-2026-76265?

In certain versions of Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Secure Gateway, a lack of proper authorization enforcement allows users without administrative privileges to access and manipulate sensitive functionalities. This inadequacy arises from insufficient checks in various REST API endpoints, which may result in attackers crafting malicious payloads that the gateway would unwittingly sign. Attackers exploiting this vulnerability can potentially engage in actions that compromise the integrity and security of the Splunk environment.
