What is CVE-2026-76391?

In Splunk AI Toolkit prior to version 6.0.0, improper privilege management allows users without 'admin' or 'power' roles to run searches with elevated system-level privileges. This vulnerability enables unauthorized access to sensitive data, manipulation of system integrity, and unauthorized actions on search jobs, including reading and deletion of other users' jobs via Agent Run History. The issue arises due to the replacement of user session keys with a system authentication token during search operations, compromising the integrity of user permissions.
