What is CVE-2026-76399?

In versions prior to 6.0.1 of Splunk AI Toolkit, users with the 'power' Splunk role had the ability to alter scheduled searches, which allowed them to execute arbitrary Search Processing Language (SPL) under the permissions of the search owner. This could potentially expose sensitive data and compromise the integrity of the system. The vulnerability arises from the permissions granted to the 'power' role, enabling unauthorized modifications to scheduled searches.
