Unauthorized Access Vulnerability in FreeIPA Affected by Red Hat
CVE-2026-76578

9.8CRITICAL

What is CVE-2026-76578?

A security flaw in FreeIPA allows an unauthenticated LDAP client to exploit the self-managed OTP token Access Control Instructions (ACI). This lack of authentication and attribute restriction can lead to the creation of a malicious Kerberos principal, which can then be added to the administrators group. Consequently, this may enable a remote attacker to gain unauthorized administrative access to FreeIPA, potentially compromising directory operations and other identity management services in systems utilizing SID.
