What is CVE-2026-76892?

The tsParticles library, used for creating particle animations, has a vulnerability in the MCP server HTTP mode. In versions before 4.3.1, the POST /mcp handler is susceptible to receiving a malformed JSON payload, causing JSON.parse to throw a SyntaxError outside of an error boundary. This can lead to an abrupt termination of the Node.js process, resulting in service unavailability until a manual restart is performed. This issue has been resolved in version 4.3.1, ensuring greater resilience against such attacks.
