What is CVE-2026-77362?

The Obsidian TC Model Context Protocol server, prior to version 1.3.1, exhibits an access control vulnerability that allows authenticated users to infer or access data from notes outside their designated read permissions. Specific components, such as the tasks_filter tool and the list_templates, fail to adequately enforce the read access control list (ACL). This oversight may expose sensitive information and template paths to unauthorized users. The vulnerability is mitigated in version 1.3.1 with improved filtering and read whitelist checks for these fields.
