A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists in the Helix Ultimate Joomla extension developed by JoomShaper. This issue arises from unsanitized configuration values for columns and items stored within the MegaMenu layout's JSON structure. Malicious HTML or JavaScript can be injected and executed when these values are rendered without proper contextual escaping. JoomShaper has addressed this vulnerability in versions 2.2.10 and later by implementing stricter data sanitization measures and utilizing InputFilter and htmlspecialchars to mitigate risks.
