What is CVE-2026-78323?

A flaw in the Java Security Services (JSS) allows the JSSTrustManager class to incorrectly accept CA certificates that lack the necessary TRUSTED_CA flags. This oversight can lead to situations where certificates from the NSS database are falsely trusted during TLS connections. When certificate revocation checking is disabled in non-default configurations, a man-in-the-middle attacker can exploit this vulnerability to forge certificates, jeopardizing the integrity of PKI client connections and exposing sensitive data transmissions to interception.
