What is CVE-2026-79674?

Versions of NLTK prior to 3.10.3 are susceptible to a path sandbox bypass vulnerability. This flaw exists within the corpus-reader constructors, such as LinThesaurusCorpusReader and PanLexLiteCorpusReader, allowing attackers to supply arbitrary paths as corpus root. Consequently, this enables unauthorized access to filesystem content and SQLite databases beyond the pathsec sandbox, which compromises the integrity and security of the system.

Affected Version(s)

nltk 0 < 3.10.3

nltk 3.10.3
