What is CVE-2026-80745?

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's handling of the FP9931 regulator's VPOS/VNEG voltage selector mapping has been identified. The VPOSNEG_table[] does not accurately reflect the mappings specified in the FP9931 datasheet, leading to potential out-of-bounds access for certain selector values. Notably, the table incorrectly contains two additional entries of 7.04V, shifting downstream mappings and resulting in missing voltage mappings for higher selector values. The corrective measures involve eliminating redundant entries and extending the table to ensure accurate voltage clamping. This oversight can compromise system stability and functionality for devices relying on the FP9931 regulator.
