What is CVE-2026-80905?

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's handling of VLAN-tagged frames could lead to incorrect parsing of network packets. When processing these frames, certain operations lead to misinterpretation of protocol headers. This occurs when the network header adjustment does not align correctly with the VLAN header, resulting in potential mishandling of EtherType and causing the flow dissector to return false. The issue stems from an incorrect sequence of operations in the code, which, if exploited, could disrupt network communications.
