What is CVE-2026-81842?

An authorization issue exists within Grafana that allows an authenticated user with edit permissions in one folder to move a library panel into another folder where they only possess view permissions. This occurs via the library elements API or the App Platform resource. The vulnerability arises because the update path does not appropriately verify library panel creation permissions in the target folder, potentially allowing for unauthorized actions, though no data exposure or alteration of existing content in the destination folder occurs.
