This oversight allows stale share links to persist, which can lead to unintended file exposure. Specifically, when a file is renamed, the original share record remains active, maintaining its associated password and expiry settings. Consequently, if a new file is uploaded to the original shared path, users can access this new file through the stale link, posing a significant risk of unauthorized file access.
