What is CVE-2026-82255?

The gitoxide product versions from 0.25.4 are prone to a security flaw that allows HTTP credentials to be leaked during redirects. This occurs due to insufficient validation of the original URL when forwarding credentials to potentially malicious servers, which can lead to attackers having access to sensitive authentication tokens through cross-domain redirects or downgrading from HTTPS to HTTP.
