What is CVE-2026-82383?

A missing authentication flaw in Apache Roller version 6.1.5 enables unauthenticated remote attackers to modify site-global configurations, such as the frontpage weblog selection. The vulnerability arises because the setup action remains accessible anonymously post-installation, allowing unauthorized changes to persist without any authorization checks. This can result in the site's public frontpage being disrupted or redirected. To mitigate this risk, users are strongly advised to upgrade to Apache Roller version 6.1.6 or later, where modifications are restricted to global administrators only.
