What is CVE-2026-82653?

SiYuan versions prior to 3.8.1 contain a vulnerability that allows for stored cross-site scripting via the confirmDialog() function. This occurs when unescaped package names and notebook names are directly interpolated in innerHTML assignments. Attackers can exploit this by submitting malicious bazaar package names containing HTML or script payloads. When users uninstall the packages or unlock encrypted notebooks, these malicious scripts can execute in their browsers, potentially compromising their security and data.
