Buffer Overflow Vulnerability in SOEM by RT Labs
CVE-2026-82944
8.8HIGH
What is CVE-2026-82944?
The vulnerability found in SOEM versions up to 2.0.0 allows attackers to exploit multi-segment data transfers. Due to inadequate memory size tracking, an attacker can manipulate the initial size validation, followed by sending additional data segments exceeding the designated buffer capacity. This oversight can lead to uncontrolled memory writes, potentially allowing the execution of arbitrary code within the compromised system.
