What is CVE-2026-84195?

Kyverno versions prior to 1.16.4 are susceptible to a credential leakage vulnerability where the admission controller's ServiceAccount token is automatically attached to outbound HTTP requests in apiCall service mode. This oversight allows malicious actors to exfiltrate sensitive tokens by redirecting apiCall requests to external or attacker-controlled endpoints, which could lead to unauthorized access and full control over Kyverno policies and cluster resources. It is crucial for users to update to the latest version to safeguard their systems against potential exploits.
