What is CVE-2026-84442?

A vulnerability has been discovered in the MapQuest Get Directions App version 10.16.1 for Android, specifically within the function getDataColumn located in the ExpoShareIntentModule.kt file of the component com.mapquest.android.ace. This flaw enables unauthorized access through path traversal techniques, allowing an attacker to manipulate file paths and possibly access sensitive data stored on the device. The vulnerability requires local access to exploit and is accompanied by publicly available exploit code. Despite early notification, the vendor has not provided any response regarding this issue.
