What is CVE-2026-8553?

A vulnerability in the GPU component of Google Chrome allows attackers to exploit a use after free condition. If successfully executed, this vulnerability enables a remote attacker to compromise the renderer process, leading to an out of bounds memory write via a specially crafted HTML page. This could result in unpredictable behavior of the application, potential data leakage, or arbitrary code execution.
