What is CVE-2026-85583?

Versions of SiYuan Note before v3.8.2 are susceptible to a path traversal vulnerability that occurs through the reader-accessible file-read endpoint. This flaw enables attackers with reader permissions to exploit symlinks, allowing them to access and request files outside the designated workspace. Consequently, the attackers can retrieve arbitrary files via logical asset paths under data/assets/, circumventing boundary restrictions intended to control file access.
